This stunning piece is a must for those seeking the quality of British craftsmanship – combined with a unique vintage design. Practical and stylish it doubles as a sofa bed when needed. Newly reupholstered in Designers Guild wool mix Brecon pear fabric a sample of which is available on request. All foam has been replaced, the frame completely restored and the seat cushion is fully sprung. The frame is hand crafted from afromosia – a beautifully exotic hardwood – extremely sought after and valuable as it is now a protected species. It would be impossible to find a sofa of this quality – for this price – still produced in this country today. The frame is in excellent condition with only the odd very minor sign of wear commensurate with age and use. In the upright sofa position: the width from outer arm to outer arm is 205cm. The width of the seat cushion is 187cm. The depth is approx 48cm. In the sofa bed mode the width is approx 180cm and the depth is 114cm. An absolute pleasure to deal with, service way beyond expectations. I could tell immediately that these people were honest and great to deal with.
